Networking isn't Easy!
I am new to YouTube, and I am currently doing apartment renovations, vlogs, TV/ movie reviews etc. And being new, you are placed at the bottom of the barrel where you have to fight to work your way up.
You have to know what you are doing, you have to understand what you are doing and if you don't know, you better find out! YouTube mainly caters to the already famous YouTuber's so you're basically on your own. The only thing that YouTube does is give you tips to maximize your chance on going viral. Even if you follow every tip that is given perfectly, it still doesn't guarantee that you will get views.
One of the Tips that YouTube gives is to make sure you create great original content or as original as you can. And what I've noticed is that YouTuber's that create absolute crap, makes no sense, boring and unoriginal content have a higher percent chance of going viral than you who is busting your behind to create great + entertaining content. It just isn't fair T_T wahhhhhh!

Even if you have great content, that still doesn't mean you are going to go viral, if no one knows you exist!!!
I try to network ,promote my videos on social media( Facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest, Google +) and support my subscribers + other youtubers (commenting, sharing, liking) hoping to get my name visible in the community.
If you are new, you will definitely find that the YouTube community is very selfish. No one takes the time to support each other It is always you support my channel and I don't care about yours. That is why I always say SUPPORT THE NETWORK+ THE NETWORK WILL SUPPORT YOU, because I believe in giving back and helping others to reach their goals. It should be about growing together.
Sometimes, I network almost everyday, from morning to late at night. Sometimes, I am dozing and nodding off to sleep during this process.
In my opinion, there is no right/ wrong way to go viral, what might work for someone might not work for you. Not because one YouTuber is doing crap and have so many positive feedback means that you will be able to do the same. Viralism is based on good luck, there are no guarantees, so I say to you GOOD LUCK!
